Michelle (Shelly) Lee
Michelle (Shelly) is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting children in developing confidence, independence, and meaningful participation in everyday life. She values collaborative partnerships with families, recognising the essential role caregivers play in supporting a child’s growth and development.
Michelle’s interest in working with children began during her high school experience as a teacher’s aide. She later worked as a support worker in adult disability services, where she observed the significant impact of social connections on people’s wellbeing, particularly for those with developmental differences. This experience inspired her focus on early childhood, a critical period for building social relationships and foundational life skills.
Michelle embraces play-based and creativity-driven approaches in therapy, using children’s imagination as a tool to achieve their goals. She is particularly skilled in developing visual supports and is excited to integrate tools like Visuals2Go to enhance accessibility and engagement in therapy.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys staying active through volleyball, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is committed to fostering inclusive, strengths-based environments where every child can thrive.
